“The State of Pennsylvania has already self-responded 62% to the 2020 Census!
Some recent area highlights include:
- Centre County CCC updated the County 2020 Census webpage noting some of the county-wide activities and extending an invitation to the community to join outreach efforts
- Our Lady of Victory Catholic School in State College reminded parents to respond in the weekly parent e-newsletter.
- Juniata River Valley Chamber of Commerce reminded businesses to spread the word through their e-update. This activity was previously reported as Downtown Lewistown, this serves as the correction.
- Pennsylvania State Representative Scott Conklin (77th District) shared social media postings reminding everyone to respond to the 2020 Census.
People may contact you to say they did not receive census information at their house. Please explain to those constituents that it is likely they didn’t receive information because field operations were temporarily suspended. The Census Bureau is now deploying Census employees to hand-deliver Census information to each home that does not have mail delivered to the physical location of the housing unit, or the mail delivery information for the housing unit cannot be verified. A questionnaire package will be left at every identified housing unit. Please urge people to respond promptly to the 2020 Census using the ID number included in the questionnaire packet.
