CATABUS Will Operate Reduced Service for the Week of Thanksgiving; All CATA Services Will Be Closed on Thanksgiving Day
CATABUS will operate on its reduced service schedule November 19-25, and no CATA service will
operate on Thursday, November 24, Thanksgiving Day.
During this period, CATA’s community service routes will run as typically scheduled, except the HU,
RC, VE, and WE routes, which do not operate during reduced service. For detailed schedules visit
Loop and Link service on the University Park campus of The Pennsylvania State University will also
operate on a reduced service schedule during Thanksgiving week. There will be no White Loop service.
Monday through Friday, the Blue Loop will operate on an approximate 20-minute frequency from 7:15
a.m. until 3:30 p.m., increase to approximately every 10 minutes between 3:30 and 10:30 p.m., and then
drop back to an approximate 20-minute frequency until 1:00 a.m. There will be no Blue Loop service on
Saturday, November 19, or Sunday, November 20.
The Red Link will operate on an approximate 25-minute frequency from 6:45 a.m. until 8:30 p.m.,
Monday through Friday, and on an approximate 50-minute frequency between 8:40 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.
on Saturday, November 19. There will be no Red Link service on Sunday, November 20.

There will be no reduction in CATARIDE or CATAGO service; both will operate as usual November
19-25, with the exception of no service on Thanksgiving Day.
CATA’s customer service center will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and will be closed to walk-in
customers on Friday, November 25; however, staff will be answering calls and taking ride reservations
on November 25.
CATA’s regular full service schedule, including football shuttles, will resume on Saturday, November 26.
