The Bellefonte Borough Compost Facility will be offering extended hours for residents of Bellefonte Borough, Spring Township, and Benner Township who have been left with storm damage.
For the remainder of the week, the compost facility located at 264 Musser Lane, Bellefonte will be open from 6:00 AM-4:00 PM on Monday, March 17th through Thursday, March 20th, 2025, and 5:00 AM-4:00 PM on Friday, March 21st, 2025. In addition, the Compost Facility will be open on Saturday, March 22nd from 8:00 AM-4:00 PM.
Items that can be taken to the compost facility are compostable items such as grass clippings, leaves, brush, limbs, etc. No construction materials may be taken to the composting facility.
Borough Crews will be around collecting brush from the curb throughout the week. Please have the brush bundled in four-foot lengths or less at the curb for collection.
