BOROUGH OF BELLEFONTE
INVITATION FOR BIDS
The Borough of Bellefonte will receive bids for the ZION ROAD/PARKVIEW BOULEVARD TRAFFIC SIGNAL INSTALLATION project at the following intersection:
- Zion Road (SR 0550) and Parkview Boulevard
Bids will be received until 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 4, 2025 by the Borough of Bellefonte, 301 N Spring Street Suite 200, Bellefonte, PA 16823. All envelopes containing bid proposals shall be clearly marked “ZION ROAD/PARKVIEW BOULEVARD TRAFFIC SIGNAL INSTALLATION”. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the Borough Council meeting, which will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Monday August 4, 2025, in the 1st Floor Council Chambers at 301 N. Spring Street.
Copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained at the office of Trans Associates Engineering Consultants, Inc., 4955 Steubenville Pike, Suite 400, Pittsburgh, PA 15205, upon a non-refundable payment of $50.00 for each set of plans and specifications. Digital copies are also available upon request at no fee. Digital plan requests can be sent to Cliff Eich at eichc@transassociates.com.
A certified check or bank draft payable to the order of the Borough of Bellefonte, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid shall be submitted with each bid. All bids must be submitted on a lump sum basis.
The Borough of Bellefonte reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding.
Bidders must be pre-qualified by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and submit proof thereof with their bid.
Bidder shall comply with all state and federal laws prohibiting discrimination in hiring or employment opportunities.
Pennsylvania prevailing minimum wage rates will apply.
Bids may be held by the Borough of Bellefonte for a period not to exceed forty‑five (45) days from the date of opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders prior to awarding the Contract.
