If you do not have a brush container and you have limbs/brush that are bundled in 4 foot (or less) lengths, the Borough will pick these up. You must call the Borough office at 355-1501 by the Tuesday of the week you wish to have it picked up to set up a special collection (will not be charged) so the Refuse Crew knows there are bundled limbs/brush to be picked up at your location. Bundled limbs/brush will be picked up on Wednesdays and must be at the curb.

All the calls you receive will have the Caller ID of ‘Bellefonte Borough’ or ‘Bellefonte Police Department’.
If you are not receiving these calls, please fill out the form at our new Emergency Notification Contact Info Request page to add or update your contact information. You may also remove yourself from our lists at the same page.
Welcome to Bellefonte
Bellefonte is a borough of approximately 6400 people, located in the center of Pennsylvania. It has been home to seven United States Governors, contains exquisite Victorian architecture, is rich in history related to the iron and lumber industry, contains natural resources ideal for outdoor water recreation, and has taken a preeminent role in education. Bellefonte was named for its enormous spring by the French statesman, Talleyrand. The rampant demolition of historic buildings so prevalent elsewhere in the United States from the 1950s – 1970s largely bypassed Bellefonte leaving untouched many large, historically and architecturally significant commercial and residential buildings.
The Borough of Bellefonte is committed to working collaboratively to maintain a safe and secure family friendly community; to providing the public with premium, prompt, courteous service in a cost effective manner; and to managing community development to protect natural and cultural resources.
The vision of Bellefonte Borough is to establish a community of opportunity and prosperity. It will support plans and strategies to provide high quality community services creating an attractive, clean, accessible, and safe community, ensure the preservation of natural and cultural resources, and provide the infrastructure to support opportunities for individual and business growth and development, with special emphasis on recreation, history, and the arts
