Parking Enforcement & Animal Control
PARKING ENFORCEMENT
Metered parking enforcement is Monday through Friday, 8am until 8pm and Saturdays 9am-12pm. Sundays and Borough observed holidays, parking is free.
All municipal lots are metered. All meters accept Quarters and Credit Cards. The 15 minute meters ONLY accept Quarters. HEAD IN PARKING IS REQUIRED IN ALL MUNICIPAL LOTS.
METER RENTAL REQUEST FORM
Meters may be rented for a half day or full day by completing the Meter Rental Request Form. Meter Rental Request Forms must be submitted to the Bellefonte Police Department. The form is available here: Parking Meter Rental Application.
ANIMAL CONTROL
The borough of Bellefonte requires that all dogs be kept under control, on a leash.
No owner of any dog, whether or not the dog is licensed, shall allow or permit such dog to run at large at any time upon any of the streets, alleys or public grounds in the Borough or upon the property of another, unless such dog is accompanied by and under the immediate control of the owner, custodian or keeper.
**Dog licenses are now available at the County Treasurer’s Office and Lyons Kennels. The licenses are valid for the fiscal year. (Ex., Jan. 1, 2024 through Dec. 31, 2024)
