Bellefonte Borough is seeking applicants for the following positions:
Water Department – Water Technician Specialist/ Specialist I
The Borough of Bellefonte is accepting applications for a full-time Water Technician Specialist I / Water Technician Specialist within the Public Works – Water Department. Classification will be determined based upon the selected candidate’s qualifications, certifications, and experience.
This position performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled duties related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of the Borough’s water and sanitary sewer infrastructure. Responsibilities include maintaining and repairing water and sewer lines; operating heavy equipment; installing, maintaining, and repairing residential water meters and fire hydrants; locating and marking water and sewer lines; performing water leak detection; maintaining pumps and related equipment; and monitoring and inspecting Borough pump houses and water facilities.
Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have the ability to perform physically demanding work in an outdoor environment under varying weather conditions. The position requires the ability to obtain and maintain the applicable Pennsylvania Commercial Driver’s License with air brake endorsements. Applicable Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection Water Operator certifications are required for certified classifications.
Water treatment and distribution experience is preferred; however, candidates with limited or no prior experience may be considered for the Water Technician Specialist I classification. Candidates with five or more years of applicable water treatment or distribution experience may be considered for the Water Technician Specialist classification.
The regular work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m..

Accounting Assistant to the Finance Director
Bellefonte Borough is seeking an Accounting Assistant to the Finance Director to provide administrative support for the Finance Director. This part-time role, offering 20 hours per week with the possibility of transitioning to full-time, is responsible for providing accounting support, maintaining financial records, and assisting with a broad range of financial functions. The role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, strong attention to detail and effective record-keeping abilities.
Required Skills and Qualifications: Associate Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Bachelor degree is preferred. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite with excel is needed. Experience working in a government entity is preferred.

Bellefonte Borough is seeking applications for a part-time Code Compliance Officer. Duties include conducting code and ordinance enforcement throughout the Borough. This position requires approximately 10–15 hours per week.
