What Centre County Transportation provides

The Centre County Office of Transportation offers shared-ride, demand-response service (i.e., vehicles are shared among riders, and service is by reservation) for residents of Bellefonte Borough and broader Centre County.

Door-to-door service: pick-up at your location and drop off at your destination within the county.

Lift-van service for physically challenged passengers (must request at booking).
How & when to schedule

Reservations must be made no later than 2:00 pm the business day before your trip. Same-day service is not available.

Service is available Monday through Friday (excluding county & federal holidays) during typical daytime hours; in Bellefonte/State College area you can expect drop-offs no earlier than 8:00 am, pick-ups no later than 4:00 pm.

Registration with the service is required before your first ride; you can register online (for some programs) or by phone.
Fares & eligibility (Bellefonte region)

For Bellefonte Borough residents:

Persons aged 60+ ride free.

Individuals with disabilities or receiving medical assistance: $4.25 per trip.

All other riders: $5.00 per trip (Bellefonte area floor).

As a shared ride service, you may share the vehicle with other passengers and the location of pick-up/drop-off times may vary.
Important guidelines / tips

Cancellation: If you no longer need the trip, you must cancel in advance.

Changes to destination/time cannot be made on the day of the ride.

Passengers must behave responsibly (e.g., no eating, drinking, tobacco in vehicles).

If you require an escort (someone to ride with you for assistance), that must be arranged at booking and the escort must be able to assist you physically.
